A few weeks ago; I got my wife Benny, some flowers from a nearby Coles.  It was wasn’t my first but forsome strange and unexplainable reason; I decided not to allow the flower witherquickly like the others I got before.

So, I hatched out a plan, every single day, right after work I would take the vase with the flower give it some water and put it on ourbalcony for at least three hours during the day. It was a crazy but verythorough plan; and for at least four days I did just that.

The result was unbelievable! The flower lasted well over three weeks.  Now I don’t know so much about botany; but I know there are flowers that thrive outside adequate growing conditions. I can tell you now; this was not one of them.

My attention to the flower elongated its life beyond what fate would have given it. The difference between a dreamer and a star; is not money, opportunity or even time; its simply nurture. Ideas nurtured, fed, pruned become world-changing innovations or even life-changing discoveries.

Thomas Edison worked on his insane and idiotic idea of an incandescent bulb for several months even years; he must have spent a fortune on all those failed trials, nine thousand nine hundred and ninety nine time before he finally did it on the one thousandth!

They are people we will never read or hear about, there are ideas that would never leave the pages of a book, there are stars that would never be known! Simply because; they lacked the resilience and endurance to give it their very all.

Our Lord and saviour Jesus Christ knew what the future held; He knew His death was inevitable. But He also knew the glory that would follow His eventual demise.  So, despite the pain, betrayer, hurt and agony. He chose to finish.

It’s okay to dream; it’s noble to aspire. But I think it is better to BECOME. I am sure you do too. Whatever we nurture lives.  It grows and sometimes; it out-grows us. A keen examination of a nursing mother and her baby clearly explains just how powerful NURTURE can be.

So no matter whatever life throws your way; DO NOT forget to feed your DREAMS.  For after a creamed-dream; is the victory-dance. Do not be fooled by hinderances that are shadows and unreal. Your best is yet to come.  Keep at it!
